The Griffith Aero Club holds a number of open days
each year that allows members of the public to access the aerodrome
and the club's aircraft. Members of the public can also take a TIF (Trial Instructional Flight) or simply enjoy an exciting half
hour flight around our beautiful city. The day normally starts
of early to take advantage of calm early morning conditions.
Why not come out to the club on one of our open days
and enjoy a hearty cooked breakfast followed by a TIF (Trial
Instructional Flight) and a BBQ
lunch or simply take a flight over the city in a light plane or
helicopter and take in the surrounding country side with its views
of vineyards, orchards rice paddy's, canals etc, this is a view of
the city that can not be gained any other way.
The Aero Club also takes part in the Riverina
Field Days held in May each year. The field days allow people
to get up close to the aircraft and talk to the pilots who are more
than happy to answer any questions about general flying or possible
careers in aviation. All date are
subject to change due to changing weather conditions. Visitors and
interested persons are most welcome to come along and take part in any of
