Griffith is located in the heart of the Riverina in New South Wales and is one of Australia's premium food production areas producing vast quantities of rice, grapes, fruit, canola and wheat as well producing some of Australia's best fat lambs.

Griffith is a pleasant five hour drive from Melbourne or a seven hour drive from Sydney taking in parts of the southern tablelands, the western slopes of the Blue Mountains and the wheat  and sheep producing country via Temora and Harden.  The city can also be accessed via Regional Express Airlines which currently conducts five flights a day into and out of the city.
