  Student Ian Chauncy
Occupation Rice farmer, married with children
  Age 45
Reason for learning to fly Always wanted to but never had the chance

Ian took up flying at the age of 45 because it was something that he always wanted to do but never had the chance because of work and family commitments.

Ian's first TIF (Trial Instructional Flight) was on the 25/11/08, he gained his Pilot Certificate plus cross country endorsement RAA on the 31/12/08, a mere 5 weeks after starting out to realise his long held dream of becoming a pilot.

Having completed 2008 on a high Ian has temporarily moved to Melbourne to undertak a Batchelor of Arts degree knowing that if the pressure of study gets to great then he can take some time out looking down on the city of Melbourne from 4000ft and then enjoy a flight over Port Philip bay before returning for a well earned beer and a chat at the local aero club.
