GRIFFITH AIRPORT

The Griffith Aerodrome is located 6km from the centre of Griffith. The facilities at the aerodrome include a modern passenger terminal with hire car services and all passenger amenities including internet facilities. Currently Regional Express and Qantas Link operate commercial passenger services into and out of Griffith daily.

Located on the southern side of the aerodrome the Griffith Aero Club's facilities consist of an air conditioned club house set amongst lawns and rose gardens. The club house includes a kitchenette and a dedicated training room. Adjacent to the club are two hangers that house the club's aircraft.

A fuel bowser with Avgas 100LL is available 24/7 and A1 Jet Fuel refueling by truck is available on site. Both operated by World Fuel.

The aerodrome is also home to a number of agricultural operators and an aircraft maintenance facility.

The aerodrome has two runways. The main 06/24 runway is 1700 metres in length and is fully sealed. The main runway caters for commercial flights, general aviation as well as student training. The second runway 18/36 is 600 metres in length and is grassed red clay and subject to weather, is also used for general aviation and student training.

The runway elevation is 439 feet above sea level.
